Offcourse selling is an art and like an artist who paints nice scenery or a musician who plays with tunes to produce pleasant music, A person in sales can create sales with his skills. So here are few tips to become master in the art of selling.

1. The first impression is the last impression.

Your first visit or first encounter with customer paves the way for future sales. Never start pushing the customer to buy your product in the first meeting. Just take interest in him/Her. and there is no strategy to look as if you are taking an interest. You don't have to pretend that you are interested in the person. If you are taking interest genuinely it will automatically show in your gestures. Let your customer feel that you want to solve his/her problem and don't just want to sell your product.

Good attire, a smile on the face, positive body language are all the parts of making a good and long lasting first impression.

2.Listening

Mostly it’s easy to have a two-way dialogue with your customers but, it’s necessary to truly listen. When listening to your customers, take into account what changes your organization should make from this feedback, and then follow through. Your customers are the lifeblood of your organization, and not dealing with the reasonable requests could cause a backlash.

3. Treat your customer as a valued partner

Your customer is not just a person to whom you are selling, but he/she is an important part of the value chain. The customer is not separate from the organization but he/she is an important asset as the feedback given by customer can boost your sales if you act upon it sincerely.

4. Be transparent.

Honesty is an important factor in the art of selling. If you are able to build an honest image by adopting the practice of doing transparent business you will be able to make loyal customers.

5. Learn to give.

Work as if you are doing service for the benefit of mankind and not just doing your job.you must have heard the saying-"As you sow, so shall you reap. So just go on serving your customers well, selflessly and you will reap the benefits in long-term.

6. Always say 'Thank you'... Kindness and gratitude will take you far

¨Last, but certainly not least, always say “Thank you.” As many as 3 out of 4 customers say they have spent more with a company because of a history of positive experiences. Kindness and gratitude for a customer’s business is an undeniable way to further enchant them for the long-term
