Know yourself

Long long time ago there was a lion who lived in a jungle with his wife. The lion was living happily. His wife, the lioness was pregnant. but as there is no maternity leave in the forest. One has to go out to find the food. So our lion and lioness both were on their hunting spree. The lioness was running after a dear and the dear was so fast and the lioness was chasing him. Suddenly the dear jump across a deep trench and lioness followed him and in between this jump, she gave birth to a cub. This poor cub fell down into the trench. Down the trench, there was a valley which was dwelling area of lambs. Lambs are usually kind in nature this cub was so cute that lambs accepted it in their family and started taking care of him as their kid.

Time passed and this lion cub started growing but he didn’t know that he is a lion because he never saw a lion. As soon as he opened his eyes he found lambs all around him. So he grew up thinking that he is also a lamb. He ate grass he spoke like lambs and it never came in his mind that he is different.

One day a young lion was passing through this valley and as he was hungry he decides to have a soft lamb in his breakfast. He started chasing the lambs but he was shocked to see a lion amongst the lambs. All lambs were running and a huge lion was also running with them with fear.

He forgot his hunger and decide to catch this lion first as he was curious to know what happened to this poor fellow. but it was not an easy task as he was running with his full speed. After a long and tiring chase, he somehow managed to catch him.

As soon as the lion grabbed him the lamb lion started moaning “please let me go, don’t eat me”

The young lion said why I would eat you, brother, you are a lion like me. The lamb lion said “no No there is some misunderstanding, I am not a lion, I am a lamb like others, and my fellow lambs say that I look somewhat different but I am one of them.

The young lion grabbed him by his arm an dragged him to the bank of a river. He showed face of both in river and said “look!! Your face and my face are same you are a lion like me.

That day the lion realized himself and roared…..and the whole forest shivered with his roar. on that day he became the lion again.

The story applies to human beings also. We live our lives with fear and doubt like lambs.and once we realize our true potential we become the lion again....
